Happy Birthday!
På tisdagen var det Andrews födelsedag och inte vilken födelsedag som helst utan det var den stora 30! Detta var vi tvungna att fira lite extra så inte nog med att han fick frukost på sängen (ja han hade iof klivit ur sängen men ni förstår va jag menar), han fick han också en stor (smaskig) chokladtårta, ballonger och öl på jobbet (men ölen kommer att konsumeras imorrn efter jobbet), sedan gick vi ut och åt middag på en trevlig restaurang som heter Match Bar & Grill. Andrew åt musslor till förrätt och jag tog rödbetor med getost, vi var båda mycket nöjda med våra val. Sedan var det stek som gällde till huvudrätt, Andrew tog den största biff på menyn och pommes (såklart), jag åt en mindre stek med potatis och bearnaisesås! Det var jäkla gott!
Sen när vi kom hem åt vi lite till av den goda chokladtårtan som Samara hade bakat åt Andrew.
Igår fortsatte firandet, vi hade blivit inbjudna till Kates mamma och styvpappa på födelsedagsmiddag för Andrew. Vi fick biff bourguignon till middag som var riktigt gott och choklad sufflé till efterrätt OCH en choklad tårta!
Så det har varit en massa choklad och så fick han några fina presenter förstås.
Jag gav honom en resa till Cairns, vi åker i augusti i 4 dagar. Ja det är rätt, kommer jag att följa med, så det är också en liten present för mig oxå :)
Födelsedagsfirandet kommer att fortsätta imorgon också, på puben förstås.
On Tuesday it was Andrew’s birthday and not just any birthday it was the big 30! This had to be celebrated a bit extra so not only did he get breakfast “in bed” (well he did actually get out of bed to eat it but still), he also got a big (yummy) chocolate cake, balloons and beer at work (however the beer will be consumed after work), then we went out for dinner at a really nice restaurant called Match Bar & Grill. Andrew had the mussels to start with, I had baby beetroot with goats cheese, we were both very happy with our choices. Then it was steak for main course, Andrew obviously had the biggest steak on the menu and chips (of course), I had a smaller steak, potatoes and béarnaise sauce!
We also had martinis with our meal.
Then when we got home we had some of the lovely chocolate cake Samara had made for Andrew.
Yesterday the celebrations continued, we had been invited to Kate’s mom and stepdad for a birthday dinner for Andrew. We got beef bourguignon for dinner which was really nice and then chocolate souffle for dessert AND a chocolate birthday cake!
So there has been a lot of chocolate cake and he also got some nice presents of course.
I gave him a trip to Cairns, we're off in August for 4 days. Yes that's right, I will be coming along as well so it's also a little present for me :)
The birthday celebrations will continue tomorrow as well, in the pub of course.
